  "x_description": "This dataset contains quicklook plots of the electrostatic potential pattern representing ionospheric convection in the Northern hemisphere measured by the SuperDARN radar network.  Line-of-sight ionospheric velocity measurements from the SuperDARN radars over each 2-minute scan period are combined and a 6th order spherical harmonic fit is applied such that the 49 coefficients of the fit completely describe the global ionospheric potential. The main coloured panels are an east-west cut through the ionospheric potential at 2 minute cadence, displayed vertically, with time along the x-axis.  East row corresponds to three days of data.  The colour bar for the potential is shown at the bottom left of the plot.  Above each panel is a coloured line to indicate the number of SuperDARN radar data points contributing to each map with the corresponding colour bar again at the lower right of the plot.",
