  "x_description": "This dataset contains the Imager for Magnetopause-to-Aurora Global Exploration (IMAGE) measurements of the auroras from the Far Ultraviolet (FUV) Spectrographic Imager (S12), from the Doppler-shifted Lyman-alpha line.  The principle investigator of IMAGE FUV is Stephen Mende, University of California at Berkeley.  These data are provided on a reduced spatial resolution grid, intended to provide global context for Cluster observations.  The grid is rectilinear, 40x40, with 222 km spacing, centred on the geomagnetic pole, with axes aligned with the noon-midnight and dawn-dusk magnetic local time meridians.  Full resolution data are available from the IMAGE FUV home-page: http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/image/  This dataset was generated as part of European Union ECLAT project. The aim of the European Cluster Assimilation Technology (ECLAT) is to provide a novel data base, by providing an upgrade to the CAA. To achieve this, ECLAT programme ingests into the CAA supporting data from other space- and ground-based observatories, provide data mining routines, refine data products and software tools for their visualisation, and develop existing European magnetospheric modeling infrastructure to provide context for the observational data.
