  "x_description": "This dataset represents large dBy/dz gradient events identified by the Cluster SC in the tail region box x<-8 Re, abs(y)<15 Re GSM for tail seasons (July-October). Large gradient (Cluster FGM measurements of magnetic field y component gradient in the z direction, dBy/dz) events are searched for where a statistical threshold has been exceeded. The events are then sorted by dBy and the top 30 events given in this list for each year. The plasma sheet must be encountered during the events. The region flag describes which plasma regions are encountered in the event interval. It contains five digits, each represent different plasma regions, with the value represented whether the region is seen. All parameters are GSM coodinates. In years 2001-2004 the top 30 events from any spacecraft pair is given. Due to large spacecraft seperation after 2004, only the spacecraft pair with smallest seperation in the tail for each year is used thereafter. This dataset was generated as part of European Union ECLAT project. The aim of the European Cluster Assimilation Technology (ECLAT) is to provide a novel data base, by providing an upgrade to the CAA. To achieve this , ECLAT programme ingests into the CAA supporting data from other space- and ground-based observatories, provide data mining routines, refine data products and software tools for their visualisation, and develop existing European magnetospheric modeling infrastructure to provide context for the observational data.
